What is The Daily Wild?
The Daily Wild is a digital devotional and rhythmic practice from the Wild Grace Digital Church. It is a daily "spark" designed to bridge the gap between ancient spirituality and our modern, high-speed digital lives.
Unlike traditional devotionals that focus on escaping the world to find peace, The Daily Wild teaches us to find "Wild Grace" right in the middle of the noise. It’s about the intersection of the organic (spirit, nature, breath) and the digital (connectivity, glitches, and the global town square).
Why We Need The Daily Wild
In a world that is increasingly curated, optimized, and disconnected from the "raw" edges of life, we need a reminder that spirit isn't tidy. Here is why this practice is essential:
To De-Sanctify the "Perfect": We often think we can only be spiritual when we are calm or in a church. The Daily Wild reminds us that spirit is found in the "friction"—in subways, difficult conversations, and broken code.
To Combat Digital Isolation: While we are more "connected" than ever, we often feel alone. The Daily Wild reframes our digital interactions as a "Chorus," turning screens into stained glass windows.
To Find Resilience in the Mess: By shifting from a "fragile heirloom" view of spirit to a "brushfire" view, we become more resilient. We stop fearing the "glitches" of life and start seeing them as the places where grace breaks through.
To Reclaim Our Humanity: In an automated world, The Daily Wild calls us back to the wild, unruly, and un-copyable spark of being alive.
The Anatomy of a Daily Wild
Every blurb is built to move you from theory to action:
The Message: A radical re-framing of spirit in the modern world.
The Practice: Tangible ways to find grace in "unholy" or everyday places.
The Shift: A mental pivot to change how you view your obstacles.
The Core Philosophy: Grace isn't something you wait for in the stillness; it’s the fire that’s already burning within you.
Live Boldly. Let the grace be wild today.
The stories that we tell each other must be empowerment stories. They must cherish and celebrate who we are as mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends. We must define ourselves in relation to each other before we are strong enough to be WOMEN for our men and other loved ones. When we are strong, our relationships are strong. When we start defining ourselves, we won't rely on men to define us. We will be strong and therefore more capable of loving ourselves, other women, and men. The only story I heard that totally defined women in their own right was the story of Ereshkigal and Innana. There are men in the story, but they are more there to help Innana, not control or censor her. After doing some research, I realized that the person I heard this from the first time had taken some artistic license with the story.

Every day I drive to work I stop by this park in my hometown. There is a small lake where I can meditate before heading to work as a school librarian. I was meditating one day and I thought others could use this time for reflection as well. The scenery is beautiful. There is a photograph and an affirmation for every day I went to school in the year 2021/2022, the last year I was in the district before moving away to another school district. The photographs are of Thompson Park in Amarillo, TX.
Meditation is amazing and wonderful to do before starting the day. I hope these photos and affirmations help you as much as they did me this past year.
